Just wanted to say hi to my fellow crafters. I'm easy - I can go with a theme or not.

A fun thing I did this year was attend a live taping of the Oprah Life Lessons show. I love Oprah and I got to attend one of her shows (well, actually they taped two!) in her last season.

I'm looking forward to being part of your group for the ornament exchange.

I like to dabble in many kinds of art, assemblage, collage, mosaic, sewing, creative upcycling, Zentangle and more.

A tidbit about me, is that some years back I founded a Creative Reuse nonprofit here in Roseville. (near Sacramento), called ReCreate. Creative Reuse centers work with businesses and residents in the area to divert perfectly good materials (Think architectural and designer samples, store overstock, printer scraps, and other goodies!) for use in creative expression and to encourage people to make less waste.

I'm a fanatic pinner - and much of my inspiration comes from stuff I have found on the internet and tweaked.

Oh, my family and I just started blogging about our less waste lifestyle... you can read about our adventures on Blogger called Talking a little less trash. (I can't post links yet. )

Hello Lovely Ladies,

I'm so glad to be exchanging with you all this year!!

This is my 5th year organizing this exchange and I think it just gets better each year!! But, I have to say that I get most excited when I see people sign up again for another year. I love that there are folks that have been doing this with me right from the beginning!!

So, let's see, something exciting thing that's happen to me this year.... I actually have three This past year I've had 4 retail product lines launch with my artwork on them!!! - That's a pretty HUGE one for me! My family moved into a new house that is just about double the square footage as our old house. Gosh, I can't tell you how good it feels to actually have enough space for everyone to spread out, and I just love fresh starts. AND I just recently got a book proposal approved, so I'm well on my way to becoming an author!!! -A total DREAM come true!!

So all in all a pretty good year

WOW! That's Awesome!! We have a place like that in the East Bay and it's one of my favorite places to visit to pick up cheap art and crafting supplies

The show we went to was about the book "Eat, Pry, Love" and I loved that book! They asked that you write any questions that you had for the author (Elizabeth Gilbert) before the show. They picked out questions they liked, then sat those question's writers up front. They picked mine, so I got to sit in the fourth row at the end of the aisle where Oprah walked out! They never asked me my question, but I could have touched Oprah! It was so cool! And Oprah had such a good time with Elizabeth, that she decided to shoot another show with her right then! They changed clothes and shot another show.

So... are we having a theme? What do you think ladies?

A bigger place in the Bay Area is always great! That must feel good!

I vote we don't have a theme, unless anyone feels strongly for one.

I'm game for whatever you guys decide I can easily go either way

I was a day late sending out my ornaments. But they are on there way as of today! (Love the automated post office kiosk!)
I would have not have made the time to create had I not signed up for this exchange, so Thank you Cindy Ann for arranging the exchange!

I guess mine were officially late, too. I put them in the mail on Saturday, but the post office was already closed. I can't wait to get your creations!
