I responded to the right thing! But forgot the one fun thing I did this year... Well, it was my first year as a stay at home mom. Not on my own doing.... But fantastic!

Thanks Cindy and hello Shasta, Heidi & Louise! I'm a mom, wife, designer/illustrator and (shhhh...) I clean houses on the side to help make ends meet in these lean times. One thing I did this year was to collaborate with a studio in the Netherlands who included 15 of my surface designs in their collection at the Indigo show in Paris.

As for theme or no theme, I am open either way. Do any of you decorate in a certain color scheme or theme at home? Do you have a favorite motif, animal, etc that means something special to you?

Let's get chatting as I'm sure we're all anxious to get started!

My Christmas is the only time if the year that I really get sparkly! Glitter! My colors are pink, bright green, red, white and a teal like blue. I don't really have a theme, other than the color theme.

I'm only about sparkle and glitter at Christmas too. I prefer silver and snow glitter, not a fan of gold so much. Color-wise I like all the colors you mentioned, I like everything from white to bright to earthy.

Hi All!

Wow, this is a crazy week. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to chat on the forum in the next week as I'm traveling to NY. That's actually my exciting thing I'm doing this year. At least I hope by the time it's over it will be my exciting thing. On friday I'm competing in Scotch Brand's Most Gifted Wrapper contest! You can learn more in the blog post I wrote about it.

I'm a graphic designer and on my own time I'm always making stuff. I have a blog where I've been sharing my creative endeavors for the last year and a half or so.

My preference would be to surprise each other. I was worried about having time to get all my xmas crafting completed this year so I've already started my ornament design.

Hoping Heidi jumps on soon so we can say hello and find out what she prefers. What if we each posted a short-list of some of our favorite things? I think it would be helpful towards customizing if we chose to. Just a thought. I just read all the chats for our group, and I'm good with either a theme or surprise. We could always go with a "glitter" theme since I completely agree on anything that sparkles! I am not particular about color, I find happiness in almost all of them. My two passions are origami and cross stitching with origami taking the lead right now. I had a mini-tree last year that was completely done with origami ornaments. It will be up again this year too. I do have a blog, but I don't get to post very often since I work full time.

I don't mind if you all use glitter but I don't particularly like working with glitter and the ornaments I've started don't lend themselves to that direction. The ornaments I have however do fit more of a origami idea. Though not truly origami.

My color preferences for Christmas are bright pink, bright green and teal blue.

So,my question to yall is... I've started my ornaments. I have a pink one, a green one, a silver one, a blue one and a teal one. can yall let me know what your choices would be??

Hi ladies. I had some issues with my first set of ornaments, they had to be scrapped and I had to make another set. As a result, they are just now dry enough to finish up.
